NUMS Postgraduate Admissions Spring 2027 — PhD, MPhil, MS, MSc & MSN
The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) has officially opened admissions for its Postgraduate Programs Spring 2027. The university is inviting applications for a wide range of advanced academic, medical and health sciences programs, including PhD, MPhil, MS, MSc, MSN, Diploma and Clinical Certification programs. Admissions opened on 6 October 2026, while the regular deadline for submitting an online application is 30 October 2026 at 4:00 PM. Candidates who miss the regular deadline can register with a late fee until 4 November 2026 at 4:00 PM. The regular application processing fee is Rs. 3,000, while late registration carries a Rs. 5,000 non-refundable fee.
NUMS is offering postgraduate opportunities across a broad range of disciplines and institutes. PhD programs include Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine, Pharmacology, Public Health, Science of Dental Materials, Pathology and Psychology. MPhil programs include fields such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Molecular Medicine, Community Medicine, Oral Pathology, Chemical Pathology, Microbiology, Haematology and Psychology. Other programs include MS Clinical Psychology, MS Transfusion Medicine, MSc Cardiac Anesthesia, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Master in Health Professions Education (MHPE), Diploma in Cardiology, and Clinical Certifications in Interventional Radiology and Hybrid Imaging (PET-CT Scan). The MSN program is specifically listed for female candidates.
According to the official NUMS admission schedule, entry tests for several programs are planned for 17 and 18 November 2026, while psychological assessment for MS Clinical Psychology candidates who qualify the entry test is scheduled for 26 November 2026. Interviews are tentatively scheduled throughout December, depending on the program and institute. NUMS has announced that the merit list for all programs is expected to be displayed on 16 December 2026. The commencement of classes is scheduled for 4 January 2027 for several programs, while PhD Psychology, MS Clinical Psychology, MPhil Psychology and Clinical Certification programs are scheduled to begin on 15 February 2027.
Applicants should carefully review the eligibility requirements for their selected program before applying. Depending on the program, applicants may need to provide academic transcripts and degrees, CNIC, photograph, CV, professional registration, experience certificates, GAT/HAT/GRE results, research proposals or other supporting documents. Government and semi-government employees are also required to apply through their departments where applicable. NUMS has stated that applications must be submitted through the online admission portal, and hard-copy applications are not accepted.
