Azerbaijan Scholarship 2026–27 for Pakistani Students

The Government of Azerbaijan announced the Heydar Aliyev – International Educational Grant Program 2026/27 for Pakistani and AJ&K nationals. The program provides scholarship opportunities at Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral levels, with Pakistan receiving three available nominations: one for each study level.

Eligible applicants must meet the specified age and academic requirements. Applicants for undergraduate studies must be below 35 years, graduate applicants below 40 years, and doctoral applicants below 45 years as of September 15, 2026. Candidates must also have the required academic background for their proposed field of study.

Applicants are required to have a valid USAT/HAT score, obtained on or after March 20, 2025. There is no separate USAT/HAT test specifically for this scholarship, while nominations are based on the applicants’ valid test scores after fulfilling the eligibility and documentation requirements.

The scholarship provides several benefits, including full tuition fee coverage, international economy-class airfare once a year, an 800 AZN monthly stipend for meals, accommodation and utilities, medical insurance worth 200 AZN, and visa and registration costs. English-taught programs require minimum IELTS/TOEFL scores depending on the study level.

Applicants were required to submit the first-stage application through the HEC Scholarship Portal, with the stated deadline of September 15, 2026 at 4:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time. HEC-nominated candidates then proceed to the Azerbaijan application portal for the next stage. Since the listed deadline has passed, students should check HEC for any updated announcement or future cycle before applying.
