NUST Announces 3-Day AI Hackathon — Build AI Products, Compete & Pitch Ideas

The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) is set to host AICON’26, a three-day AI-focused hackathon at SEECS, NUST Islamabad, from 9 to 11 October 2026. The event is designed to bring together students interested in Artificial Intelligence, programming, product development and innovative technology solutions.

AICON’26 features three main modules, giving participants different ways to demonstrate their technical and creative skills. The Build with AI module focuses on developing AI-powered products and solutions, while Pitchfest gives participants an opportunity to present and pitch their ideas. The event also includes Competitive Speed Programming, where participants can test their coding ability, speed and problem-solving skills.

The event is particularly relevant for students who want practical exposure beyond traditional classroom learning. Instead of focusing only on theoretical AI concepts, AICON’26 combines AI product building, idea pitching and competitive programming into a single three-day event.
