Pakistan & Saudi Arabia Sign Cybersecurity Cooperation Agreement

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have strengthened their cooperation in the technology and cybersecurity sector with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the LEAP 2026 technology conference in Riyadh. The agreement aims to enhance bilateral collaboration and improve both countries’ ability to respond to emerging cybersecurity threats.

The MoU was signed between Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and Saudi Arabia’s National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA). According to Pakistan’s IT Ministry, the agreement will facilitate the exchange of cybersecurity expertise, knowledge and best practices between the two countries.

Pakistan’s participation at LEAP 2026 was also focused on expanding international technology partnerships, attracting investment and creating opportunities for Pakistani technology companies in global markets. The Pakistani delegation showcased the country’s growing digital ecosystem through the Tech Destination Pakistan Pavilion, which featured 25 startups and more than 50 leading Pakistani technology companies working in areas including AI, automation and digital technologies.

The event produced several other technology-related outcomes for Pakistani companies. Pakistani business automation platform OfficeFlow AI signed an Incubation Partnership Agreement with Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV), while Pakistani startup Edversity reportedly secured a $400,000 investment at LEAP 2026 to support its international expansion.

The cybersecurity agreement reflects growing technology cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and could create further opportunities for collaboration in cybersecurity, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. The partnership also highlights Pakistan’s efforts to expand its technology presence in international markets and build stronger connections with the rapidly developing Saudi digital ecosystem.
